The story receiver gang rides again

Happy Friday to you all--

This is Jason Cannon with Ibis Books, and I have to start with a big ol' THANK YOU.

Your response to my news last week about CLOWNS LIKE ME heading Off-Broadway was beyond kind. Whether putting out books or plays, it's always about you, the reader/audience. Storytellers need story receivers, and you all are one of the best story receiver gangs out there.

Today I'm totally poaching the most recent newsletter from Lifeline Productions, which is the non-profit dedicated to using theatre and story to shatter the stigmas around mental health. Lifeline is the producing body that brought CLOWNS LIKE ME to life and is taking the show to New York.

You can subscribe to the Lifeline Productions newsletter HERE.

And since big news comes in threes... stay tuned. I've got several things spinning up in the background that I can't wait to share with you!

All gratitude--

Actor and Storyteller Scott Ehrenpreis and Playwright/Director Jason Cannon celebrate the big news!

Become A Mental Health Advocate

Telling true-life stories is one important way to educate and help change the conversation surrounding mental illness. Other ways you can help mental health perceptions is by advocating for change both in state legislation, and in national focus this election year. Our local NAMI has many resources for advocacy which can be found here. NAMI also partners with organizations such as the Florida Mental Health Advocacy Coalition which provides information and resources for issues affecting us regionally. Be sure to sign up for Action Alerts to learn where your voice is needed most.
